Just as the wildlife brings its own magic to your African safari so too does dining out on the savannahs, with its fresh and colorful closeness to the wonders of the natural world all about you. Menus can range from multi-course fine cuisine to more casual bush barbeque meals. There is a somewhat almost primal joy about eating a meal in the raw wilderness of the African savannah, more so if the setting happens to be Masai Mara where it is quite possible that your views are framed by stunning landscapes and magnificent wildlife.

Picnic Lunch: Usually arranged during a full day game outing in the reserve so that one does not have to go back to the lodge or camp for lunch, the meal itself is in the form of packed lunch boxes which are provided by your camp or lodge by prior arrangement the night before to allow them adequate time to prepare the meal boxes. Though the meal itself is typically simple though satisfying, the often scenic setting in the wild makes this a truly memorable meal.

Bush Breakfast & Dinners: A more elaborate meal and in the case of a Bush dinner, this could also be an event in itself around a bonfire with entertainment such as light music or tribal dance performances. Bush meals are arranged at special designated sites for maximum wildlife and spectacular savannah views.

Sundowners: Ending your day on Safari with your favourite drink in hand, the company of friends or loved ones and a gorgeous sunset unfolding right before your eyes is a very special experience indeed. Gaze across the rolling open plains of the African Savannah as the sun sets slowly in full view. Sip on a gin and tonic or a non alcoholic cocktail as you breathe all of Nature and a roaring fire keeps the slight evening chill at bay. A truly timeless experience.

Picture an early morning wake-up call, followed by a drive into the wilderness. Then, as the sun rises and light floods the landscape, you hop down from your safari cruise to survey a wonderland. Nothing beats freshly brewed coffee with pancakes and eggs whilst watching hippos wallow in the Mara River. Setting off before sunrise offers the best chance of exciting wildlife encounters. Being able to eat a freshly cooked breakfast whilst doing it is even better!

After a thrilling early morning game drive or balloon safari, arrive at a breakfast in the wild. The smell of fresh coffee fills the air as freshly cooked eggs and extras are made to order. The set is complete with Champagne, juices, fruits, pancakes and fresh bakery basket.
